1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using nijobsearch.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site. By using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and NIjobsearch in relation to your use of the Site.

2. About the service

NIjobsearch is an online job board focused on employment opportunities in Northern Ireland. We provide a platform that allows:

NIjobsearch is a platform only. We are not an employment agency, recruiter, or party to any employment contract between an employer and a job seeker. We do not guarantee that any job listing will result in a successful hire, or that any application will result in employment.

3. Terms for job seekers

When you use the Site to search for or apply for jobs, you agree to the following:

Accurate information

All information you provide in an application — including your name, contact details, work history, qualifications, and any CV or cover letter — must be accurate, truthful, and not misleading. Providing false information in a job application may be a criminal offence.

Your application data

When you submit an application, your application details (name, email, phone, cover letter, and CV) are passed directly to the employer who posted the role. NIjobsearch is not responsible for how employers handle your data after receiving it — please review the employer's own privacy practices. We recommend you do not include sensitive personal data (such as your date of birth, national insurance number, or passport number) in a cover letter or CV unless specifically requested and you are satisfied it is necessary.

No guarantee of employment

Browsing or applying for jobs on NIjobsearch does not guarantee an interview, job offer, or employment. All hiring decisions rest entirely with the employer.

4. Terms for employers

When you create an employer account and post job listings, you agree to the following:

Eligibility

You must be authorised to post jobs on behalf of your organisation. By creating an employer account you represent that you have the authority to do so.

Accurate job listings

All job listings must be genuine, accurate, and up-to-date. You must not post:

Equal opportunities and non-discrimination

You must comply with all applicable equality and employment legislation, including the Equality Act 2010, the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006, and related Northern Ireland equality legislation. Job listings must not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation, except where a genuine occupational requirement exists and is clearly stated.

Compliance with law

You are responsible for ensuring that your job listings comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to employment law, data protection law, and advertising standards. You must not advertise roles that require unlawful activity.

Managing applications

As an employer you receive applications directly from candidates. You are responsible for handling candidate data in accordance with UK GDPR and your own privacy obligations. You must not use candidate data for any purpose other than assessing the relevant job application.

Removal of listings

You must close or remove a job listing as soon as the role is filled or is no longer available, to avoid misleading job seekers.

Note: NIjobsearch reserves the right to remove any job listing that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law, without notice and without refund.

5. Content standards

Any content you submit to the Site — including job listings, company descriptions, application materials, or other text — must:

NIjobsearch does not pre-screen all content posted by employers but reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any content that we reasonably believe violates these standards, applicable law, or our policies.

6. Payments & refunds

Pricing

Current prices for job listings are shown on our Pricing page. All prices are in British Pounds (GBP) and are inclusive of any applicable VAT where stated. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time; changes will not affect orders already placed.

Payment processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By making a purchase you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your card details.

Refund policy

Due to the digital nature of job listings, which go live immediately upon payment confirmation, we generally do not offer refunds once a listing is live. However, we will consider refund requests in the following circumstances:

To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] with your order reference. We will review requests on a case-by-case basis.

Your statutory rights as a consumer (where applicable) are not affected by this policy.

7. Accounts & security

Employer accounts are required to post job listings. When you create an account:

NIjobsearch is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account where you have not taken reasonable steps to keep your credentials secure.

8. Intellectual property

The NIjobsearch name, logo, website design, code, and original content (excluding user-submitted content) are owned by or licensed to NIjobsearch and are protected by intellectual property law. By submitting content, you grant NIjobsearch a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote that content on the Site and our social media channels for the purpose of providing the Service.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you submit, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion.

You may close your employer account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund for any unused listing credits.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that nothing in this clause prevents you from enforcing your statutory consumer rights in Northern Ireland.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

For significant changes that affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered employers by email.
