Joining Breedon means becoming part of a team that values excellence and is committed to making a positive impact.<br /><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br /><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br /><p><br /></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;Operation of computer-controlled asphalt plant for the production of all grades of asphalt materials</li><li>Compliance with Health, Safety &amp; Environmental regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure the role is conducted without risk to self and others.</li><li>Production scheduling and output optimisation in accordance with requirements of dispatch controller (Weighbridge)</li><li>Preventive maintenance &amp; coordination of maintenance contractors</li><li>To assist with repairs during breakdowns and complete preventative maintenance.</li><li>Stock management and coordination of material deliveries with supply chain and haulage contractors.</li><li>To maintain high standard of quality for all materials produced</li><li>Maintain good standard of housekeeping around asphalt plant and loading areas.</li><li>To perform any other reasonable duties as required.</li></ul> <p>Key Relationships:</p> <p><br />Maintain strong working relationships with quarry staff, contracts teams, and key third parties, including:</p> <p><br />Quarry / plant managers</p> <p>Dispatch Controller (Weighbridge)<br />Laboratory Staff</p> <p>Breedon Group Contracts Staff<br />External customers and key members of the supply chain</p> <p>Demonstrate effective communication skills when liaising with management and technical staff to resolve operational issues.</p> <p>Work closely with weighbridge staff to support the efficient planning and coordination of delivery vehicle movements.</p> <p><br /></p> <br /><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</strong><br /><p><br /></p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.</li><li>&nbsp;Flexible and adaptable to changing work environments including shift working and working when required other company production locations.</li><li>Ability to plan and organise own work area effectively.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond quickly to operational issues.</li><li>Works in accordance with company procedures, controls, and operational standards.</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <ul> <li>Experience working in a quarry or construction materials manufacturing environment.</li><li>Experience operating plant or machinery in construction/quarry or similar industry.</li><li>Familiar with operating a manufacturing plant using computer control system.</li><li>&nbsp;Experience and competency to carryout routine and planned basic maintenance.</li><li>Ability to complete housekeeping/cleaning around plant</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br /><strong>Benefits</strong><br /><p><br /></p> <ul> <li>33 days per year (including bank holidays)</li><li>A tailored, competitive salary&nbsp;</li><li>Company pension scheme&nbsp;</li><li>Life Assurance Scheme</li><li>1 day per year to volunteer with a charity of your choice (fully paid!) and fund-matching up to &#163;200 for charitable events.</li><li>Make a Material Difference Awards</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme providing a wide range of health and wellbeing support 24/7&nbsp;</li><li>Access to our employee benefits platform, giving you discounts on a wide variety of high street shops and brands.</li><li>Broad learning opportunities, training, and career progression pathways.</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Diversity Statement:</strong><br />At Breedon Group, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued.
