This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to work on <strong>complex, high-value and often life-changing cases</strong> — from catastrophic injuries to high-value motor and casualty claims.<br /><br /></p> <p>As a <strong>Senior Solicitor within our Large Loss Team</strong>, you’ll play a key role supporting the Lead Lawyer on some of the most challenging and rewarding cases in our portfolio, while managing your own caseload of claims typically valued between <strong>&#163;100,000 and &#163;250,000</strong>. You’ll be part of a team that prides itself on collaboration, technical excellence and genuine career development.<br /><br /></p> <br /><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br /><ul> <li>Partner with the Lead Lawyer to manage <strong>high court and catastrophic injury claims</strong> (including brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and fatal accident cases).</li><li>Handle your own caseload of <strong>high-value complex injury claims</strong>, driving them from instruction to resolution.</li><li>Engage directly with <strong>senior claims handlers</strong> at leading insurers — building strong, trusted relationships.</li><li>Apply your analytical expertise to dissect <strong>complex medical and quantum evidence</strong>, identify key issues and shape expert strategy.</li><li>Draft high-quality technical advice across <strong>indemnity, liability, quantum and causation</strong>.</li><li>Conduct witness interviews, prepare statements, draft pleadings and attend <strong> conferences, mediations and Joint Settlement Meetings</strong>.</li><li>Take an active role in mentoring and developing junior colleagues.</li><li>Ensure case management systems are updated and compliant with <strong>LSNI regulations</strong>.</li></ul> <p><strong>Working Hours</strong></p> <p>35 hours per week</p> <p>Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.</p> <p>Primary location for this role is Belfast Office.<br /><br /></p> <br /><strong>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</strong><br /><p>You’ll be a <strong>qualified solicitor</strong> with a passion for high-quality litigation and a solid grounding in <strong>indemnity, liability and quantum</strong>.
