About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Quantity Surveyor to join our construction and infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building projects, from initial estimates through to final account settlement. This role requires a strong focus on cost control, budget management, and ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints. The ideal applicant will possess excellent organisational skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes, ensuring the financial efficiency of each project while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects in collaboration with project managers and clients. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential overruns early. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used for accurate billing and reporting. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive prices without compromising quality. Manage contractual documentation, including tendering, procurement, and variation orders. Analyse project data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise resource utilisation. Prepare comprehensive reports on project financial status for stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and health & safety policies throughout all stages of the project.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management in large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent programmes.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics is preferred.
