Tech Trade Recruiting is recruiting Production Operators on behalf of one of Northern Ireland's leading automotive manufacturers in Carrickfergus.

Depending on the department, you'll either work 3 shifts per week (34.5 hours) or a monthly pattern of two 34.5-hour weeks and two 46-hour weeks, giving you considerably more days off than a traditional five-day working week.

With a shift rate of £18.03 per hour, overtime rates up to £26.52 per hour, long-term work and potential permanent opportunities, these roles offer an excellent combination of earnings and time off.

Requirements

• What You'll Be Doing
• We're recruiting across several production departments, so your exact duties will depend on where your experience is best suited.
• Typical duties may include:
• Operating production and manufacturing machinery
• Loading and unloading machinery
• Handling aluminium components and materials
• Carrying out visual inspections and quality checks
• Working to production targets and cycle times
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Recording production information accurately
• Manual handling of materials and components
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and Health & Safety
• Working as part of a busy production team
• The work is hands-on and can be physically demanding, so applicants should be comfortable standing for extended periods, carrying out repetitive tasks and working within an active manufacturing environment.
• What We're Looking For
• We'd particularly like to hear from candidates with previous experience in:
• Manufacturing | Production | Machine Operating | Engineering | Automotive | Warehouse | Forklift | Foundry | Construction | Mechanical Work
• Previous automotive experience isn't essential.
• If you're reliable, practical, comfortable with physical work and willing to learn, we'd still like to hear from you.

Pay & Overtime Standard shift rate: £18.03 per hour Enhanced overtime rates are available: £19.89 per hour (x1.5) £20.82 per hour (x1.57) £23.47 per hour (x1.77) £26.52 per hour (x2) Working Hours & Shift Patterns Depending on the department, you'll work one of the following 12-hour rotating day/night shift patterns: 3-Shift Pattern – 34.5 Hours 3 x 12-hour shifts per week Either Sunday, Monday & Tuesday Or Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 4 days off each week 34.5 / 46-Hour Rotating Pattern (the 46hr week is temporary and will revert back to 34.5) Over the course of the month: 2 weeks: 34.5 hours – 3 shifts 2 weeks: 46 hours – 4 shifts The 46-hour weeks include a Saturday shift Extended periods of days off throughout the month Shift Times Day Shift: 7:00am – 7:15pm Night Shift: 7:00pm – 7:15am Shifts rotate between days and nights.
