Payroll Specialist (German Speaking)

• Location: Belfast (remote)
• Contract: Full-time | Permanent | Remote Working
• Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Reed Accountancy are delighted to collaborating with an excellent employer in the recruitment of a Payroll Specialist (German Speaking) to join their team. Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who has the ability to apply strong functional payroll expertise and proven experience in payroll transformation and project delivery.

The role involves hands-on responsibility for end-to-end payroll operations, as well as managing the full lifecycle of payroll transformation initiatives. 

Day-to-day of the role:

• Payroll Operations & Compliance
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Work closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain the integrity of payroll data.
  • Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
• Payroll Transformation & Transition
  • Support payroll transformation initiatives. 
  • Contribute to process improvements, including redesign, automation, and continuous enhancement activities.
  • Assist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Project & Programme Support
  • Provide support for payroll-related project governance, tracking, and reporting activities.
  • Contribute to key workstreams within payroll transformation programmes, including feasibility, design, and implementation.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as HR, Finance, and Operations. 
  • Effectively communicate updates, changes, and improvements to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• German Speaking with proven experience in payroll operations or payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Experience in payroll transformation or transition projects. 
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, consulting or transformation-driven environments.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
