About the Role

<p><strong>Part- Qualified / QBE Accountant</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Location:&nbsp;</strong>Antrim Area</li><li><strong>Contract:&nbsp;</strong>Full-time |&nbsp;Permanent | Office-based</li><li><strong>Salary:&nbsp;</strong>&#163;45,000 - &#163;60,000 (dependent on experience)</li></ul> <p>Our growing client seeks to appoint an experienced&nbsp;<strong>Part- Qualified / QBE Accountant </strong>to play a pivotal role within the finance function.&nbsp; You will take ownership of the monthly management accounts, Budgeting &amp; Forecasting along with overseeing day-to-day ledger activities in a fast-paced commercial environment.</p> <p>The ideal&nbsp;<strong>Part- Qualified / QBE Accountant </strong>will&nbsp;demonstrate strong commercial awareness, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to deliver accurate and timely financial information to aid decision-making.</p> <p><strong>Day-to-day of the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Financial Reporting:</strong> <ul> <li>Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.</li><li>Produce profit &amp; loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.</li><li>Conduct variance analysis against budgets and prior periods with clear commentary.</li></ul> </li><li><strong>Budgeting &amp; Forecasting:</strong> <ul> <li>Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.</li><li>Monitor financial performance against budget, highlighting risks and opportunities.</li></ul> </li><li><strong>Transactional Finance Management:</strong> <ul> <li>Supervise and review day-to-day bookkeeping activities including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and journals.</li><li>Ensure appropriate controls and processes are in place and adhered to.</li></ul> </li><li><strong>Operational &amp; Commercial Support:</strong> <ul> <li>Collaborate closely with operational teams to understand cost drivers and performance.</li><li>Analyse margins, costs, and warehousing performance metrics.</li></ul> </li></ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent).</li><li>Proven experience in a management accounting role.</li><li>Strong understanding of month-end processes and financial reporting.</li><li>Experience overseeing or managing transactional finance / bookkeeping.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.</li><li>Desirable: familiarity with ERP systems.</li></ul> <p><strong>For more information, including package details, please contact Mary at Reed Belfast, apply via this advert, or contact me confidentially on LinkedIn</strong></p> <br />
