About the Role

Senior Operator (Grade 2) - Larne

£31,338 + Shift Allowance + Overtime Available

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Operator (Grade 2) on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Larne. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and long-term career prospects.

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week
• Rotating shifts:
  
  • 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • 4:30pm - 1:00am
• 20% shift allowance for evening shifts
• Overtime available

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all products meet required quality standards and product specifications.
• Support maximum productivity across all areas of production.
• Coordinate staffing levels to ensure daily production targets are achieved.
• Monitor and report product rejects to relevant departments and management.
• Complete batch documentation and logbooks accurately, including batch reconciliation.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure area clearance checks are completed.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Health & Safety policies, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Supervise and support team members to ensure punctuality, efficiency, and high standards of work.
• Escalate GMP breaches, procedural deviations, or quality concerns to management immediately.
• Allocate materials and ensure accurate recording of relevant batch and stock information.
• Carry out stock reconciliation activities as required.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by Production Management.

Essential Criteria

• Good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum secondary-level education).
• Reliable attendance and strong timekeeping record.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative.
• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required.

Desirable Criteria

• Knowledge of inspection processes and production equipment.
• Previous team-leading or supervisory experience.
• Ability to motivate, support, and guide colleagues to achieve quality and operational targets.
