As a Manager, you'll bring your growing expertise in AWS to bear on complex, real-world client challenges, working alongside experienced principals and architects to design and deliver solutions that are robust, scalable, and aligned to what our clients actually need.

As an AWS Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Design, develop and maintain secure high-quality AWS solutions, platforms and delivery pipelines, working across the software development lifecycle from design through deployment and maintenance.
• Translate client requirements into robust, scalable technical designs, working with senior architects and delivery leads to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
• Provide technical insight during system design and contribute to design reviews, technical assurance, and delivery planning.
• Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code, and promote consistent engineering practices within the delivery team.
• Design and automate CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, applying DevOps practices to improve repeatability, security and delivery quality.
• Optimise AWS workloads for performance, cost, security, reliability, and operational supportability.
• Proactively troubleshoot issues, support live services, and take ownership of resolving complex production problems, escalating where appropriate.
• Identify technical delivery risks, recommend mitigation actions, and contribute to contingency planning.
• Engage directly with client stakeholders, explaining technical options clearly and helping turn requirements into practical delivery plans.
• Contribute to effective communication, collaboration and knowledge transfer across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support and mentor less-experienced engineers through code reviews, pairing, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with AWS services and engineering approaches, including Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Q Business, and propose relevant innovations for client delivery.
• Contribute to the engineering community through learning sessions, reusable assets, methods, and intellectual property.
• Support technical pre-sales activity, including bid documentation, RFIs, RFPs, and client presentations.
• Participate in technical interviews and support the onboarding of new team members.
