About the Role

<p>Interim Internal Communications Specialist; Belfast; 6month contract; &#163;&#163;26.15 per hour PAYE / &#163;34.98 per hour Umbrella; Inside IR35 <br /><br />We have a requirement for an Internal Communications Specialist , working with our client based in the Aerospace Sector in Belfast . The role is required to support post-merger communications and work closely with the project team, wider Communications team and the leaders of the new company to support all communication-related matters relating to the acquisition, ensuring local operational needs are in alignment with the organisations broader UK and global communications approach. This role is based full time onsite. <br /><br />AREAS OF FOCUS <br />Short term <br />Plays a key role in the establishment of Communications “set up” and outputs for the new company in Belfast, bringing local needs into alignment with communications approach in the UK as appropriate. <br />Supports the creation of interim and long-term internal communications tools and channels to support the onboarding of colleagues <br />Works with the project team to define and deliver key messaging and communications materials during the transition phase <br />Interacts with wider UK and global communications team - and the public affairs team - to manage consistent messaging to external audiences <br /><br />REQUIRED QUALITIES AND COMPETENCIES FOR THE JOB <br />This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth. <br />Personal qualities and competencies: <br />Established experience in communications (internal, external, community relations) <br />Experience of Merger &amp; Acquisition comms environment, transformation and change <br />Good understanding of the company structure, its products and the environment in the UK <br />Good understanding of Northern Ireland as an operating environment <br />Comms plan definition and execution <br />Strategic thinking while able to act and implement quickly <br />Ability to connect easily to different stakeholders across functions and divisions <br />Excellent writing skills and content creation skills <br />Event management capability <br />Understanding of local UK media and ability to engage effectively with them <br />Understanding of community relations and ability to engage effectively with a wide range of neighbours <br />Understanding of internal communications channels and ability to effectively engage with colleagues from across the business <br />Morson is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy. <br /><br />Internal Communications; External Communications; communication strategy; communication plan; media relations; social media; stakeholder management; public relations; engagement plans; digital marketing;</p>
