About the Role
IFA Administrator
Location: Belfast,
Salary: Up to £33,000 depending on experience
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced IFA Administrator or Financial Services Administrator to join a professional financial planning business in Belfast.
This role would suit an organised and detail-oriented individual with experience in an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) practice, wealth management firm or financial services environment. You will provide essential administrative support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners, helping to ensure the smooth running of the financial planning process and the delivery of excellent client service.
This is an opportunity to build on your existing financial services administration experience within a professional, client-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners.
- Process new business applications across pensions, investments, ISAs, bonds and protection products.
- Prepare client documentation, application forms, letters and financial planning paperwork.
- Liaise with clients, pension providers, investment platforms, insurers and other third parties.
- Submit new business applications and track progress through to completion.
- Obtain policy information, valuations, pension details and provider illustrations.
- Maintain accurate client records and update the CRM and back-office systems.
- Manage client files, electronic records and compliance documentation.
- Support client reviews, annual review preparation and ongoing servicing requirements.
- Monitor outstanding cases, chase providers and resolve administrative queries.
- Ensure all administration is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with internal procedures and FCA regulatory requirements.
- Deliver a professional, responsive and confidential service to clients and colleagues.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in an IFA Administrator, Financial Services Administrator, Financial Planning Administrator or Wealth Management Administrator role.
- Knowledge of financial services administration within an IFA or wealth management environment.
- Familiarity with pensions, investments, ISAs, protection products and associated provider processes.
- Experience processing new business and maintaining accurate client records.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to administration.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and financial services providers.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and financial planning or CRM systems.
- A proactive approach, with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Financial services qualifications, such as the CII Certificate in Financial Services, are advantageous but not essential. Candidates with relevant IFA administration experience and a willingness to develop their technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
