If you’re an experienced driver who values professionalism and reliability, this is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work with a leading employer.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <p>You’ll carry out <strong>trunking runs between Royal Mail depots</strong>, transporting mail and parcels across the network. No handballing — just clean, organised, professional driving on planned routes. A variety of <strong>morning, evening and weekend shifts</strong> are available.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Transport mail and parcels between Royal Mail sites</li><li>Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards</li><li>Follow planned routes and scheduled delivery times</li><li>Represent Royal Mail with professionalism at all times</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <ul> <li>Valid HGV Class 1 / C&#43;E licence held for 2&#43; years</li><li>CPC and Digital Tachograph Card</li><li>Strong awareness of road safety and compliance</li><li>180&#43; days of Class 1 driving in the last 12 months</li><li>Maximum 6 penalty points</li><li>Ability to pass driver vetting and a DBS check</li></ul> <p><br /></p> <p><strong>What You’ll Receive</strong></p> <p><br /></p> <ul> <li>Excellent pay: &#163;20.82–&#163;23.85 per hour (shift dependent)</li><li>Guaranteed minimum daily hours</li><li>Weekly pay, accrued holiday pay &amp; pension (PAYE)</li><li>Opportunity to secure a preferred shift pattern after assessment</li><li>Onsite parking and canteen facilities</li><li>Support from a dedicated onsite Pertemps team</li></ul> <p><br /></p>
