<p><strong>Directorate: Finance, Procurement &amp; Estates</strong></p> <p><strong>Full-time / Part-time</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable <strong>Health and Safety Officer (Fire)</strong> to join a dynamic Estates and Specialist Services team. This is a key role supporting the delivery of expert fire safety advice across Trust facilities, ensuring compliance and promoting a strong culture of safety across all sites.</p> <strong>About the Role</strong> <p>The post holder will support the <strong>Health and Safety Manager (Fire)</strong> in providing a professional, organisation-wide fire safety advisory service. You will play a vital role in ensuring fire safety standards are maintained, risks are effectively managed, and best practice is embedded across all departments and facilities.</p> <p>37.5 Hours - Full time available. </p> <p>You will work closely with senior leaders, managers, staff, and external stakeholders to promote fire safety awareness and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.</p> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <ul> <li>Provide expert fire safety advice, guidance, and support across Trustwide facilities.</li><li>Assist in developing and promoting a positive fire safety culture across the organisation.</li><li>Support the implementation and monitoring of fire safety policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.</li><li>Work collaboratively with senior colleagues, managers, and stakeholders to manage fire risks effectively.</li><li>Contribute to inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations where required.</li><li>Ensure fire safety standards are consistently maintained and improvements are identified and implemented.</li></ul> <strong>About You</strong> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of fire safety legislation, compliance, and best practice.</li><li>Experience in a health &amp; safety or fire safety-related role within a complex organisation.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites.</li><li>Proactive approach to promoting safety culture and continuous improvement.</li><li>12 months relevant work experience.</li></ul> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health &amp; Safety professional to make a real impact in a Trustwide role, contributing directly to the safety and wellbeing of staff, patients, and visitors.</p>
