<p><strong>Head of Finance &amp; Governance (Grade 7)</strong></p> <p><strong>&#163;61,673 – &#163;64,496</strong></p> <p><strong>Public Sector - Belfast – Permanent – Hybrid </strong></p> <p><strong>Closing date: 2.00pm on 12th June 2026</strong></p> <p>As a member of the Senior Management Team, the head of finance and governance will provide clear leadership and direction to managers within the finance and governance functions.&nbsp; The role is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategy and policy, and for ensuring the effective delivery of key elements of the organisation’s corporate and delivery plans.&nbsp; The position requires a balanced and strategic approach, supporting strong governance, sound financial management and organisational accountability.&nbsp; Key responsibilities include;</p> <ul> <li><strong>Leadership &amp; Strategy</strong></li><li><strong>Financial &amp; Governance Oversight</strong></li><li><strong>Operational Management</strong></li><li><strong>Engagement &amp; Communication</strong></li><li><strong>Professional Development &amp; Collaboration</strong></li></ul> <p><strong>Essential Criteria;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified Accountant: Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) with 5&#43; years post-qualification experience and professional body membership.</li><li>Financial Management: 3&#43; years managing large (&#163;10m&#43;) complex budgets, including forecasting and reporting.</li><li>Public Sector Experience: 2&#43; years in organisations delivering public services (directly or via partners).</li><li>Senior Leadership: 1&#43; year at senior management level, advising Boards on governance, finance, and risk.</li><li>Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.</li><li>Driving Requirement: UK driving licence and access to a car (or reasonable alternative due to disability).</li></ul> <p><strong>Desirable Criteria; </strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience delivering outcomes within a public sector governance environment.</li><li>Oversight of governance processes (e.g. complaints, FOI, SARs).</li></ul> <p><strong>A full information pack is available through application.&nbsp; Please note that strict criteria application will be applied to this role, and candidates will be expected to demonstrate how they satisfy each criterion.&nbsp; For more information apply here or contact Laurence at Reed Belfast.</strong></p> <br />
