General Operative x7 - Fridge Processing
Location - Toomebridge
Day Shift: £12.79 per hour
Night Shift: £18.75 per hour
46 Hours Per Week

We are currently recruiting for General Operatives to join a busy Fridge Processing Plant based in Toomebridge. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing environmental and recycling operation, helping to recover and recycle materials from fridges and large domestic appliances.

Key Responsibilities
- Sort refrigerators, washing machines, tumble dryers, and other electrical appliances into the correct recycling streams.
- Safely dismantle appliances and remove recyclable components such as compressors, motors, and copper.
- Operate processing and shredding machinery safely and efficiently.
- Carry out quality inspections on incoming materials.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Report equipment faults and safety concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within recycling, waste management, manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments is desirable.
- Forklift Truck Licence
- Mechanical aptitude or experience dismantling equipment would be advantageous.
- Ability to operate machinery or willingness to undertake training.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail.
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting duties.
- Team player with good communication skills.
Working Environment
- Warehouse and recycling processing facility.
- Regular exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
