Finance & Operations Manager (Part-time)

• Job Type: Part-time (3 days per week)
• Salary: £60,000 per annum (full-time equivalent)

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Finance & Operations Manager to lead our clients finance function on a part-time permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in driving improvements in financial processes, systems, and performance while enjoying the autonomy and strategic input of a senior position without the demands of full-time hours.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the finance function, including preparation of monthly management accounts and group-level reporting.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes and oversee the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning, developing and improving internal controls and financial procedures.
• Provide financial insight and commercial judgement to support business decisions and produce consolidated accounts as required across the group.
• Support day-to-day people matters in collaboration with our external HR provider, handling employee relations, performance, and other HR processes.
• Develop financial dashboards and management information for Directors and Shareholders, applying AI tools to enhance accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Improve operational systems and business processes across the finance function and wider business, ensuring compliance, governance, and effective office operations.
• Work closely with senior management on strategic initiatives, shaping a high-performing environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team and experience producing consolidated accounts across multiple entities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and managing a varied workload.
• Commercially aware with sound financial judgement and excellent people skills, capable of building trusted relationships and handling sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work accurately.
