<p><strong>Company Accountant (Contract)</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Annual Salary: &#163;50,000 - &#163;55,000 (FTE)</strong></li><li><strong>Location: Belfast</strong></li><li><strong>Job Type: Full-time, 6 Month Contract, Office Based</strong></li></ul> <p>Join our growing retail client as their Company Accountant, where you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of our Group's financial operations during a period of transition. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, this position is based in their head office in Belfast, offering a structured weekday schedule from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in managing financial systems and improving organisational processes.</p> <p><strong>Day-to-day of the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for operational management.</li><li>Manage all journals and final GL balances, including reviewing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.</li><li>Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Group’s accounting records and financial systems.</li><li>Produce statutory accounts for the various companies within the division as required</li><li>Prepare budgets and forecasts, continuously monitoring and reviewing performance against them to robustly report variances.</li><li>Actively manage overheads while seeking out areas for efficiencies and savings.</li><li>Ensure timely submissions and payments of VAT returns, complying with all relevant regulations.</li><li>Liaise with various departments to ensure the Finance department supports the needs of the Division effectively.</li><li>Liaise with auditors, tax advisers, brokers, bankers, and other parties as directed by the Financial Director.</li></ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).</li><li>Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.</li><li>High attention to detail with a drive to deliver continuous improvement.</li><li>Competent in the use of Excel and other accounting software.</li></ul> <p><strong>To apply for this position, please click Apply or contact Laurence at Reed Belfast.</strong></p> <br />
