<p><strong>Assistant Bookkeeper</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Location:</strong> Belfast City Centre</li><li><strong>Contract: </strong>Part-time (20-25 hours) across 5-days&nbsp;| Permanent | Office-based</li><li><strong>Salary: </strong>&#163; an hour<strong> &nbsp;</strong></li></ul> <p>Reed Accountancy is proud to represent an established and reputable company in Belfast City Centre who are seeking a motivated and ambitious&nbsp;<strong>Assistant Bookkeeper&nbsp;</strong>to join their dynamic team, supporting their accountancy function.</p> <p>This is a perfect opportunity for an&nbsp;<strong>Assistant Bookkeeper&nbsp;</strong>seeking part-time hours across 5-days within a supportive working environment.&nbsp;You will be responsible for supporting daily financial operations, including banking, payments, invoicing, and ledger management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.</p> <p><strong>Day-to-day of the role:</strong></p> <p><em><strong>Banking &amp; Receipts</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Monitor accounts, record incoming funds, and reconcile daily transactions</li><li>Process lodgements and update financial records</li></ul> <p><em><strong>Payments</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Process and verify payments in line with company procedures</li><li>Execute authorised transactions accurately and on time</li></ul> <p><em><strong>Invoicing &amp; Ledgers</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Support invoice processing and ensure accurate allocation of payments</li><li>Maintain ledgers and resolve account queries</li><li>Monitor work in progress and process approved adjustments</li></ul> <p><em><strong>Purchase Ledger</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Process supplier invoices and reconcile statements</li><li>Manage supplier payments and online accounts</li></ul> <p><em><strong>Expenses &amp; Petty Cash</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Administer petty cash and reconcile balances</li><li>Review and process expense claims</li></ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1 year’s previous experience in a dedicated finance/book-keeping role</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.</li><li>High level of attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul> <p><strong>For more information, including package details, please contact Mary at Reed Belfast, apply via this advert, or contact me confidentially on LinkedIn</strong></p> <br />
