Assistant Accountant/ Payroller

• Location:  Belfast City Centre
• Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Office-based (1-day from home after probation)
• Salary: Competitive/dependent on experience

Reed Accountancy & Finance are working closely with a well-known Belfast City Centre based company who are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant/ Payroller to join their team of a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful Assistant Accountant/ Payroller will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and compliance, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and driving positive change within the finance function and wider business.

Day-to-day of the role:

• End-to-end payroll processing: UK and ROI monthly payroll for circa 90 employees
• Post payroll journals, reconcile accounts, and advise employees on pension contributions
• Sales ledger invoice processing
• Credit Control duties
• Purchase Ledger invoice processing
• Bank reconciliations
• Support audits and reporting
• General accounts and administrative duties

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2-3 years within an Accounts/ Finance Related role
• Payroll experience is essential
• IT Proficient to include accountancy software packages
• Accounting Technician/ Part Qualified  and/or Payroll CIPP qualifications (desirable)
