Accounts Assistant (REED Exclusive)

• Location: Belfast City Centre
• Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid Working
• Salary: £31,000 per annum

Reed Accountancy & Finance are exclusively working with a reputable company based in Belfast City Centre who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on permanent, full-time basis.

The successful Accounts Assistant will join a dynamic accounts team and be offered comprehensive exposure to various critical financial functions, essential for the smooth operation of their busy Finance Department.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Treasury / Cash Management: Handle daily receipts and allocations to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Client Reporting: Generate and manage client statements, remittances, and VAT reporting, ensuring clear and precise financial communication with clients.
• Credit Control: Implement effective credit control procedures to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize financial risk.
• Purchase Ledger Management: Oversee the purchase ledger to ensure all expenditures are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed to support the finance team, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an account's role, with a strong emphasis on credit control procedures.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experienced in managing online banking systems.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, confident and courteous in interactions with colleagues and clients.
