Level 3 Mechanic

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Level 3 Mechanic to join our maintenance and repair team. As a key part of our operations, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards. The role is ideal for someone who is Level 2 or 3 NVQ/City & Guilds qualified and has hands-on experience working in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a range of vehicles (cars/vans/LGVs depending on your experience).

• Complete vehicle servicing to manufacturer and company standards.

• Conduct MOT pre-checks and work on MOT repairs (if qualified).

• Ensure all work is completed within safety guidelines and legal compliance.

• Accurately complete all job cards and service records.

• Communicate effectively with team members and customers when necessary.

• Maintain a clean and organised workshop area.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

• Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in a similar role.

• Full UK driving licence (essential).

• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and time management.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• MOT Tester Certification (Class 4/7)

• Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles

• Commercial vehicle experience (if applicable)
