We are urgently seeking a Technical Specialist to work for a top 100 company based in Belfast. This is a permanent position with an excellent package along with attractive company benefits.

 

Technical specialist The Role

This exciting Technical Specialist position; we are looking for talented and experienced IT professionals with a strong foundation in business intelligence and analytics support, who can contribute to the organisations success across digital analytics expansion.

This role is to provide management and administration of an Adobe Analytics Campaign platform that is integrated into a number of key LOB applications. Reporting to the Application Support Development Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting our digital analytics and marketing solutions, development and support of data architecture, design and implementation of integrations to other application.

 

Technical specialist Key Duties

Full responsibility for Adobe Analytics and Adobe Campaign support
Ensure data integrity & documentation of tracking standards
Troubleshoot and debug analytics and campaign implementations
Work across both marketing and Group IT support functions to support teams with analytics expertise
Engage with marketing teams to ensure the analytics and campaign solutions continuously meets business requirements
Deliver clear and actionable recommendations to improve and optimise the customer experience
Acting as a system expert by responding to and developing ad hoc queries and providing application support
Responsibility for providing root cause analyses to Adobe platform system issues and management of third level support
Development of application strategies, data architecture, data integration, software development and IT solution design
Proactively monitoring of systems patterns to improve overall process and performance
Liaising with internal customers to design functional enhancements
Communicating business specifications in a clear and concise manner
Conducting detailed software development, testing, reviewing test cases and evidence before applying changes to the production environment
Delivering continuous process improvement
Providing support and development to business process areas
Out-of-hours support on a rota basis when required

 

Technical specialist Essential Criteria

Extensive experience in writing custom SQL queries
Experience working with data warehouses
Strong experience of providing technical support for multiple applications
Understanding of system interfaces including internal and external system data exchange
Stakeholder management skills, including strong communication and presentation skills

 

Desirable Criteria

Although not essential, ideally you should possess the following attributes;

Experience in interfacing between business and implementation units
Designing solutions and writing technical documentation for a medium/large scale commercial website
Working with SQL Server Integration Services SSIS
Using web analytics tools (e.g. Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, etc.)
Hand-on experience using Adobe Analytics with expert knowledge of Adobe Analytics or Adobe Campaign
Working knowledge of API (Application Programing Interface)
Technical architecture/framework of analytical eco-system(s)
Delivering projects to, or supporting systems for the Energy and Utility sectors
Strong working knowledge and understanding of HTML, JavaScript and Web 2.0 landscape
Solid experience in a project delivery or support role designing developing, testing and deploying complex applications with familiarity of one of the following technologies;
Oracle RDBMS
Unix
.Net Framework (C#.NET, VB.NET, ASP.NET)
Java – Enterprise application development and design patterns

 

Salary will be depending on experience and will range from £25k to £35k with attractive company benefits.
