We are seeking a Business Development Manager to work on a permanent basis with our client based in Belfast City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a salesperson who is looking to progress in their career and grow within the company.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have the desire to make a difference to communities by helping SME’s to grow and export and attracting inward investment into countries globally.
Our main aim is to assist some of the top economic development agencies across the world, to attract Foreign Direct Investment and win Trade Deals. We are responsible for launching the marketing campaigns which have attracted top Multinational companies into Northern Ireland such as Citi, Tullett Prebon and Allen & Overy. Meanwhile, our Corporate Sales division are responsible for helping local SMEs create efficient sales processes, helping them to reach wider audiences and enter new global markets.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying key opportunities across specific markets suitable for the type of investment the client requires. You will communicate with C-level individuals and will manage the client relationship from the outset, ensuring you provide the bespoke service they require to the highest standard.
No day is the same for a Business Development Manager – during busy spells, you may need to account manage a number of various contracts while ensuring deadlines are met. We need someone with top organisational skills but who is approachable and friendly for all of our clients.
However, we do require some essential experience to ensure you have what it takes to work in this globally competitive market.
Do you have at least 6 months’ worth of experience in B2B sales?
Have you researched specific industries/companies and have you had to create ‘target’ lists?
Are you confident using the phone and email to communicate with potential customers from across the world?
Can you work well independently and as a team?
Is English your first language or a professional level?
Do you hold a valid UK Work permit if required?
Other desirable criteria include the following:
Knowledge of using online research tools such as social media platforms, RSS Feeds, Google Alerts, and LinkedIn for a sales purpose?
Have you experience building relationships and managing accounts with clients?
Do you speak any other languages apart from English at a professional level?
Do you have a relevant Business related degree or equivalent?
£17,000 starting salary with scheduled increments based on performance.
Annual commission of £1,600
