Job Description
Housekeeper
We are looking for a part-time housekeeper to join our team at Aughnacloy House.
Main Function of the Job
To undertake cleaning-related duties to provide a hygienic and safe environment throughout the Home.
Main Tasks
- To undertake household/cleaning duties as required, for example, cleaning bathrooms, hoovering, dusting, carpet shampooing, waste disposal and general tidying.
- Ensure all duties are carried out to provide a safe environment for all.
- Use cleaning materials and equipment in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Complete all paperwork accurately.
- Communicate regularly with the Manager.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company at all times.
- Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times.
- Work as part of a team and be able to communicate with residents and staff as required.
- Provide a quality service at all times.
Whilst the above is an outline of the duties you will be required to carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.

The successful applicant will be expected to have the following skills or experience:
Essential Criteria:
- Cleaning experience at least within own home.
- Interest in elderly care.
- Ability to speak and understand a reasonable level of English.
Desirable Criteria:
- Cleaning experience in a work environment.
About Aughnacloy House
Aughnacloy House is a purpose-built nursing home in the centre of Lurgan. All rooms are en-suite and there are beautiful gardens and outdoor areas for residents to enjoy. In addition, there are themed areas throughout the home for therapeutic activity and treatment including a light therapy suite and also a fully equipped hairdressing salon.
